How to Fix Leaking Pipes Under the Sink

Leaking pipes are an average occurrence. In some cases, you may need a plumber’s help, but before you call you can try this hack with a few simple items. All you’re going to need is plumber’s tape, a wrench and a bucket.

You’re going to want to make sure the water supply to the pipes is off. Then, with a monkey wrench, you need to loosen the pipes at the threads and disconnect them. Make sure that the bucket is under the connection to catch the water. Place plumber’s tape in a clockwise direction around the threads. Then, reconnect the pipes. The tape will help grip the pipes tighter without an expensive replace job.
